So, I guess I am having something of an artistic crisis.
This year has NOT been kind towards me in the way of electronics.
My big computer died.. Total death of the hard drive. Thankfully my hubby got it working long enough for me to move all important files over to the external. Then, the power cord on the laptop died. Which means I had no way of doing digital art for a while. Thankfully (again) hubby found another power cord for me to use for the time being.

Now the external hard drive is on the blink (the cable has been tugged a bit too much by the tot) AND photoshop decided to die on me too. Sooo I can try to learn how to use gimp and inkscape for the time being, but all efforts have been extremely frustrating.

I thought... Well, fine, I'll paint! Take that computer, neener neerner moo boo.
Right.. I can't find my paintbrushes. They have magically disappeared.
I'm currently having my style and feeling the urge to go a bit more cartoony. (I love cartoony pinups.) Not that my stuff isn't already cartoony.. maybe I am thinking cutesy.. I've noticed my stuff getting girlier and girlier anyhow.

But even working on a new style isn't working because I have a big old mean art block. I feel like I've been pounding my head into a marble wall for the last month. Sooooooo frustrating.

On a positive note I joined a gym, that was fun, it makes me feel better. Time to lose the baby (read: beer) belly! Woot!

Phin's gonna be a year old next week (where'd the time go?!), he's on the verge of walking and my day is spent doing damage control. By the time my dear hubby gets home I am exhausted and frustrated and don't even want to think about art.

I'll keep plugging away though, I'll get there eventually.
